Lawrence Weiner is a former National Merit Scholar educated at Yale University, University of Washington School of Law and Excuela Libre de Derecho. His legal background includes extensive work as an attorney and business adviser to US and Asian companies in Mexico and Central America. His focus has been on trade policy issues and international IP enforcement, due diligence investigations and joint venture agreements between Mexican and US corporations. He is also former CEO of one of the first digital incubators in Mexico, where he directed development of a woman’s portal (later sold to Televisa); a consumer magazine; and a B2B software-as-services platform. He currently gives courses, lectures and workshops to Latin American legal professionals in comparative law, legal writing and negotiations.
