J. Weili Cheng, ’77 B.A., J.D. is the executive director of the Association of Yale Alumni and in that role, is responsible for overseeing the direction of alumni organizations and programs as well as providing a channel for communication between Yale University and its alumni.  Previously, she was senior vice president and deputy general counsel for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. In that role, she was responsible for all legal matters relating to the company’s operations, which included 124 lodging and residential properties in 29 countries. As a member of the company’s executive team, she played an active role in shaping the company’s global business strategies and policies.  Asian Network at Yale (ANY) and Yale’s Working Women’s Network (WWN) jointly sponsor 2017 Women’s Leadership Series. The focus of the Women’s Leadership Series is to bring together a diverse mix of Yale’s own successful women leaders who, through the discussion of topics relevant to today’s issues will inspire and encourage women to reflect on their own goals and status as they strive to advance their careers and lives. The format for the Leadership Series will consist of a moderated discussion with the speaker that will delve into topics of interest in which the speaker will share her personal and professional perspectives on questions. The Theme of the Series: Leadership, Identity, Career, Wellbeing and Community Service
