Amrutasri Ashwini Nori-Sarma, an Indian American student at Yale, was among four doctoral students in Connecticut to receive a Science to Achieve Results Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The EPA announced the honorees for environmental research Sept. 9. Each of the recipients will receive up to $132,000 to support their graduate research and studies, the agency said.

A total of 52 STAR Awards were handed out to graduate students nationwide, representing 37 universities in disciplines such as atmospheric chemistry, green energy, hydrogeology and predictive toxicology.
