Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Yale Annual Party

Dear friends,

Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Yale are proud to host our Annual Mixer Party & Ball on November 7th, 2015! We cordially invite you to participate, and hope that you’ll be able to meet new friends or even someone special on Yale’s beautiful campus. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to find and get to know more friends, or fall in love with your significant other!

This year, our Party & Ball features four main segments.

Afternoon – Campus Tour

Participants will be divided into groups of six to ten. Based on the provided Yale Campus guide, participants will follow the team leader on a “Heart-shaped” route to explore the beauty of the historic Yale Campus. You will get to know your teammate better during this fantastic journey. Don’t forget to take pictures with your teammates, and the best pictures would be selected for prizes!

Time: 3PM – Before dinner

Dress code: Casual

Evening – Gourmet Tour

After the afternoon session, there will be two-hour dinner break. Participants will dine at New Haven’s most famous restaurants, some of which can be found in our guide, and experience the city’s unique cuisines and romantic ambience.

Time: After campus tour – 6:30PM

Dress code: Casual

Night I – Mixer Games

Get changed into your attractive suits and dresses! Participants will be divided into four teams, and play fun games in groups with chances to win secret prizes.

Time: 6:30 – 8PM

Location: Sage Hall (205 Prospect Street, New Haven, CT)

Dress code: Cocktail attire

Night II  – The Ball

Here, you will have chance to show your beautiful dance moves, and dance with the lady or gentleman of your dreams, ignite sparks of romance. Don’t worry if you are not an expertise dancer! Experts here will teach you basic dance moves. You can also enjoy the amazing performance of our distinguished guests. Additional exciting surprises lie in wait for you!

Time: 8:00-10:30PM

Location: Sage Hall (205 Prospect Street, New Haven, CT)

Dress code: Cocktail attire


Entrance fee: $20/person (The number of participants is limited, please reserve your ticket as soon as possible. We will operate on a first-come-first-served basis. )

We will be providing each guest with the following complimentary items:

1.    A beautiful souvenir T-shirt

2.    Desserts, fruits and drinks

3.    Photos of unforgettable moments (will be e-mailed to each school after the event)

1.  Please provide your personal particulars upon registration. On the day itself you will need to have the following on hand:

    a. Valid photo ID (must be at least 21 years of age)

    b. University ID

    c. Registration confirmation (this will be sent to you via email before 11:59PM on November 6th)
