Yale and Oxford/Cambridge Alumni Singapore Meetup – Tues 27 May at Praelum Wine Bistro

Some Yale, Oxford & Cambridge alums here in Singapore recently got together and figured that a joint meet-up between our alumni communities would be an interesting twist to our usual social gatherings. So please join us for a casual gathering to take place on 27 May, 7.30pm onwards at Praelum Wine Bistro, 4 Duxton Hill. This will be a great opportunity to meet people both within and outside of your industry – from finance, law, entrepreneurship, art, academia… the list goes on!

If you are a wine aficionado (and perhaps even if you are not), this will also give you a great opportunity to check out one of Singapore’s leading specialist wine bars. Praelum Wine Bistro was opened at end 2011 by Oxford alumni Elizabeth Lin (Oxford) who will also be coming to the meet-up to give you her personal take.  Liz’s concept behind Praelum is to encourage wine appreciation — a place for both serious wine lovers and the casual drinker to come together in a relaxed bistro environment. With a 90% approval rating on HungryGoWhere, you can’t go wrong here!

We’ll be showcasing a selection of 1 Italian Chianti Classico (Red) OR 1 Italian Orvieto (White) selected by Head Sommelier Gerald Lu at $15 nett for the first drink (from 7.30-9.00pm); for non-wine drinkers, a house spirit (either Belvedere or a 12-year aged gin) is available. Also to celebrate Praelum’s new food menu launch in early May, Oxbridge/Yale alumni will be entitled to 10% off all a la carte food and drinks orders for the night.

RSVP right now over here!

Thanks and see all of you there!
